With our children busy and living many hours away it is a comfort to them to know we are in a happy and safe place. We have enjoyed the 18 and a half years we have lived here with many more to enjoy.

The apartments were not on site when we moved here but are now a big advantage now.

Absolutely, we have done so many times resulting in a number of them choosing to live at Settlers Village.
Do you feel safe in the village community?
Yes we do , we are encouraged to be security aware in our villas, the culture of caring ensures that residents are aware of each other safety.

Settlers Village Apartments
Marie has called Settlers Village Apartments home for 12 years. During this time we have grown to know and love Marie as part of our Settlers family.
What made you decide to move to Settlers?
It was a recommendation of a friend to move to Settlers Apartments. After having a tour of the Apartments I thought to myself “I could live there”. It was very nice and I went from there.
What do you like most about living at Settlers?
I like a lot of things; comfort, well looked after, assurance of being safe and secure.
Would you recommend Settlers to others?
Oh I do and I have.
What is your favourite dish to eat, prepared here at Settlers?
I like the food very much. Some favourites are the beef stew, baked lunches, lamb cutlets and fish on Fridays.
What social interactions and activities do you enjoy at Settlers?
I enjoy the companionship, everyone’s approachable and enjoyable at Settlers.
Settlers Village Apartments
Cate has been part of our Settlers Village Apartment family for five years.
What made you decide to move to Settlers?
I was living in Armidale originally and wanted to move closer to my family, my son in-law and daughter encouraged me to have a look at Settlers Apartments. I thought it was too wonderful and grand for me. Before I knew it I sold my house and picked out my apartment of choice.
What do you like most about living at Settlers?
Companionship and getting to know interesting, different people. I get to enjoy the morning sun and the garden out front. I’m looked after like the Queen.
Would you recommend Settlers to others?
Oh yes.
What is your favourite dish to eat, prepared here at Settlers?
I require gluten-free, all the meals are wonderful and all my needs are being catered for.
What social interactions and activities do you enjoy at Settlers?
If you’re willing to participate in the in house activities it’s wonderful – to laugh is better than to cry. I’m looked after and very happy. It’s like another world to me, it’s been wonderful. I enjoy walking and looking at all the lovely gardens.
Settlers Village Apartments
Phillip has been living at Settlers Village Apartments for just under a year but it feels like we have known his friendly face for much longer!
What made you decide to move to Settlers?
My health and eye sight deteriorated, I couldn’t stay by myself. I was looking at a few retirement places and Settlers Apartments was highly recommended to me by several people, including current residents and a real estate agent. After inspecting Settlers Apartments it was a simple decision for me to live here.
What do you like most about living at Settlers?
I have no worries about living. I can do things I want to do instead of what I have to do. I have total relief from any responsibilities.
Would you recommend Settlers to others?
Yes, on my experience on living here.
What is your favourite dish to eat, prepared here at Settlers?
I don’t really have a favourite dish, all the raw materials the Chef uses are very good and they are big serves. They cater for my meal choices.
What social interactions and activities do you enjoy at Settlers?
I have trouble with recognition with other people so it makes it hard for me, however I enjoy music activities and singing in the choir. I’ve met many friendly fellow residents since being here.
